On May 20, at 3:00 p.m. (Mexico time), Mr. Man Hee Lee, the chairman of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, and Restoration of Light, and Ms. Nam Hee Kim, the chairperson of the International Women’s Peace Group (an affiliated organization), were presented with a certificate of appreciation and awarded medals by Municipal President Ramon Poo Gil.

Politicians, municipal authorities, senior-level executives, and religious leaders, who attended this ceremony, gave a loud round of applause for the two people who were being recognized. More than 15 broadcasting stations and media were also anxious to cover this event.  

When being interviewed, Mr. Lee said, “Just like the meaning within the names of Mexico and Veracruz, I believe the blessing of peace would soon come to this land. In order to accomplish world peace, leaders and citizens of every nation must come together and with a humble and honest heart, each person must carry out the work at one’s position.”

On May 22, 10:30 a.m. peace seminars and a peace agreement ceremony were held in the area of Veracruz at the Christopher Columbus University and Boca del Rio Institute of Technology. Vice presidents of the universities, professors, and more than 500 college students attended the event. They listened carefully to Mr. Lee’s lecture regarding the cessation of wars and world peace, and as they were inspired, people rose to their feet for a standing ovation and cheered enthusiastically. Some said, “Mr. Lee’s message regarding peace is like a lamp that shines the light of hope to the people of Mexico and Veracruz, who have suffered under crimes and wars.”  

Mr. Lee visited Mexico this time as a result of being invited by the Municipal President of Veracruz and the Mexican pastor and his wife, whom Mr. Lee met last March when visiting Uruguay.
